I suppose your comment identifies the point of my post, namely that the &quot;Africa&quot; alluded to in some French marketing and magazines is generic and unspecific. I found that the portrayal of this diverse continent at odds with the reality, but in keeping with some enduring conventions.</description>

Africa is the world&#039;s second largest continent, and much as saying Asia would make little sense except to a moron, Africa makes little sense too. It would be wiser of you and the French to specify. I take it you mean Sub-Saharan Africa but could not take a few seconds out of your time to be more particular.</description>
